So far, I’ve been posting in generally chronological order of my experiences. At the time of this writing, I have been polyamorous for two months.
To keep track of all of the guys I’ve talked to and dated, I made a spreadsheet. Yes, I am type A. 😀
So, in review, here are the stories I’ve told so far, and which guys they are about. All of the names in my stories have been changed for privacy, for the record.
I organize the men I have talked to by “waves.” In each wave, I have a record of who I have talked to a decent amount and/or met. I haven’t kept track of the men who I only talked to a little bit.
My first wave of guys began on July 31st and August 1st. In that wave, there were six men. Their pseudonyms are Rafael, Max, Silas, Joey, Russell, and Curtis. The stories I’ve written about them are as follows: Joey was the story of my first poly dating experience; Russell was the story of how I became a slut; Silas does not have a story, nor does Max; Curtis was the story of how I was gaslighted by a douchebag. After this post, I will be sharing the story of how I made and lost a best friend within one month, which is about Rafael.
In between what I consider my first and second wave of guys was Jonah, in the story of how I got my heart demolished.
My second wave of guys began on August 31st through September 2nd, and consisted of five guys. Their pseudonyms are Dallas, Brendan, Steve, Donald, and Aaron. The stories I’ve written about them are as follows: Dallas was the story of how I made my first FWB; Brendan was the story of how I became a sluttier slut; Steve was the “ghosted” part of the story of how I was ghosted, guilt-tripped, and tricked; and Aaron was the story of how I had to say no too many times. Donald doesn’t have a story.
My third wave of guys began on September 11th through the 13th, and consisted of four guys. Their pseudonyms are Austin, Jack, Mark, and Darren. The only one of them who is included in a story is Darren, who was the “tricked” part of the story of how I was ghosted, guilt-tripped, and tricked.
My wave 3.5 as I call it was my final wave of guys. It began on September 13th, and I distinguish it from wave three because the guys in this group were from a different app, and that difference significantly affected the dynamic. The first app I used had more of a sexual vibe, while the second one was more of a relational vibe.
Wave 3.5 included eight guys: Alec, Travis, Hector, plus three guys I don’t plan to write stories about at this time who I will just call G, K, and S, and saving the best for last, Calvin and Romeo, whose stories are coming soon. Hector is the only one of this group who already has a published post about him, the “guilt-tripped” part of the story of how I was ghosted, guilt-tripped, and tricked. Alec and Travis will have posts about them on here soon as well.
At this moment, I have six more posts planned after this one, and then quite honestly the posts will possibly shift to a different style because my stories will have all been told. I may move toward talking about the different levels of emotional, relational, and sexual growth I’ve been going through since becoming poly, or I may just write endlessly about Romeo because… well, you’ll see. Or, it might be a combination of both, or something else entirely.
This is my poly journey, and I don’t know exactly where it will go from here, but I am happy to be past the “bring in the next contestant” stage and into the “settling into my new normal” stage. I have to say, I feel very lucky to have gotten to this part so quickly. It took me two months, meeting ten guys, going on twenty-seven dates, and having conversations with well over twenty-seven men to get to the point where I want to be. It’s been a wild ride to get here! Now I’m just enjoying the view. 😉
